Description :
The recruitment is being used to fill (1) Application Architect III position for the Bureau of Information Technology Services (BITS) at the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as an Enterprise Solution Architect and lead efforts in defining best practices, standards and process improvements within BITS for application design and architecture, coding, and security. The goal for this position is to provide an advanced level of technical expertise and leadership for all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) to increase the value and quality of products developed and supported by the section, identify cost effective solutions to saving operating costs, and shaping the future of BITS.
This position will work with development teams to recommend solutioning pathways during development and to guide application architecture development around best practices Extensive coordination and consultation with development area technical leads, other DCF technical support and applications development sections, state agencies, and vendors is expected. This position will also help DCF assess our developmental tools for best practices and optimizations to support modern solutions.
This position requires knowledge of and experience with systems analysis and multi-layered object-oriented design techniques; estimates for analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation tasks; and methods used to develop, install and maintain large complex web applicationsand also require knowledge methods to create detailed project/system plans.
Requires knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Web applications architecture, development software, tools and environment such as Visual Basic, VB.Net, ASP.Net, Visual Studio/Interdev, JAVA Script, Web Services, Store Procedures, and HTML in a Microsoft Web development environment using components such as IIS, COM , DB2 Connect, Visual SourceSafe, Okta, Github Enterprise and Relational Database Management Systems.
