JOB TITLE: Human Resources Generalist
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our dynamic HR team. This role will primarily focus on talent acquisition, training and development, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices, a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific responsibilities of Human Resources Generalist may include, but are not limited to:
- Talent Acquisition:
- Oversees talent acquisition function to include recruiting, job postings, interview set up and offer letter processing, and manages external vendors
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and create job descriptions.
- Manage the entire recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, selecting candidates, and extending offers.
- Build and maintain relationships with universities, professional organizations, and industry networks to expand the talent pool.
- Oversees the Internship Program for the firm, including setting up with college fairs and other events.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related matters, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Address employee concerns and conflicts with professionalism and confidentiality, promoting effective resolution strategies.
- Implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and retention.
- Lead efforts in diversity and inclusion initiatives, community and volunteer programs, company celebration events, etc.
- Training and Development
- Research compliance training requirements for various jurisdictions
- Create and facilitate internal training program – performance reviews, conflict resolution, communications, new managers, sexual harassment and anti-discrimination, etc.
- Assist HR leader with various other leadership training programs.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in alignment with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular audits of HR practices and documentation to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on talent acquisition and employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance regulations, and immigration processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with recruitment software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Highly skilled in handling employee relations
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. This role will oversee daily tasks of other HR team members from time to time.
