The Student Intern is the entry level position for the current or recently graduated student who are interested in exploring a career in Architecture, Interior Design or careers supporting Cooper Carry. The Student Intern will concentrate on tasks that contribute to their educational pursuits and the overall success of Cooper Carry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently attending or just graduated from an accredited University.
- Entry level student Intern on the path to Architectural Registration with little or no previous experience
- Strong interest in a field of study related to careers at Cooper Carry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific responsibilities of the Student Intern may include, but are not limited to, the following depending on Internship goals and assignment:
- Work collaboratively with designers to construct, design, modify documents and drawings
- Meet task and project deadlines.
- Work to achieve Client's goals.
- Communicate an understanding of task assignments and expectations.
- Develop design skills.
- Develop visual and presentation skills.
- Undertake job related research, as directed.
- Gain an understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methods.
- Develop computer software skills (CADD, Revit, Photoshop, sketch-up, word, excel, etc.)
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Cooper Carry projects and resources.
- Other duties as logically inherent to this role.
- Take advantage of continuing education and seminar opportunities.
- Have specific goals based on curriculum of course or interests to explore while working and communicate those goals to their supervisor/manager.
