Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician - Electronics will support the operation of various electro-mechanical production machinery and equipment by completing changeovers, adjustments, repairs, and preventive maintenance requirements. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician - Electronics will follow directions from supervisors, schematics, diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, engineering specifications, method sheets, and SOPs to troubleshoot malfunctions and assist in the maintenance and safety requirements of the production equipment.
Job Summary :
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician - Electronics will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our electro-mechanical equipment and machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of electronics principles, as well as the ability to perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance tasks. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician - Electronics must be detail-oriented, analytical, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, and machinery to identify faults and potential issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot equipment and machinery to diagnose malfunctions and determine the appropriate course of action.
- Repair or replace defective electronic parts, such as sensors, switches, circuit boards, and wiring, using hand tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic software.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineers to develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols.
- Document maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks, accurately and comprehensively.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with electronic equipment and machinery.
- Stay updated on advancements in electronic technology and participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
