The Senior Financial Analyst has key responsibilities for ensuring Cooper’s manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain are contributing consistent and efficient performance to the Cooper business. This role encompasses the support of cost accounting and manufacturing financial reporting, plant financial management and support, financial inventory, and general financial support to key members of Cooper management. This position will be key in continuing to optimize the company’s cost structure and overall financial performance.

This role encompasses the support of cost accounting and manufacturing financial reporting, plant financial management and support, financial inventory, and general financial support to key members of Cooper management. This position will be key in continuing to optimize the company’s cost structure and overall financial performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support various aspects of financial reporting and cost accounting for all of Cooper’s manufacturing plants
- Support setting of annual cost updates, variance reporting, and key financial plant & supply chain KPIs, driving action plans and overall performance
- Assist with financial support for established engineering, supply chain, and distribution processes.
- Support the Cooper COO, Director of Finance, and VP Supply Chain with direct financial analysis, results reporting, and cost optimization projects.
- Assist with large scale inventory management, including controls, planning, and costing.
- Promote manufacturing and cost efficiencies through analysis and partnering with key functional leaders
- Drive excellence in financial reporting and controls, including potential public accounting readiness.
- 3 years of financial and accounting management in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of GAAP, financial regulations, and best practices in financial management
- Proven experience in driving financial performance through partnering with manufacturing plant leaders and cross-functional (with supply chain, quality, engineering, HR, etc.)
- Strong technical skills, including extensive working knowledge of cost accounting, manufacturing processes, and successful internal controls, especially around inventory.
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced growth-oriented environment.
- Manufacturing experience in a global organization.
- Experience in large scale distribution environment
- Roll-up-sleeves approach. Self-starter.

- Ability to influence others through common sense, practical approach.
