The Pulmonary Support Professional plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role requires a highly skilled professional who can provide exceptional respiratory care and support patients with complex needs.
Responsibilities:
The Pulmonary Support Professional will be responsible for:
• Assessing and managing patients with respiratory disorders
– providing mechanical ventilatory support and monitoring patients
– administering medical gas delivery systems, such as heliox, nitric oxide, oxygen, and compressed air
– providing humidification and aerosol therapy
– managing airways and delivering aerosolized and instilled medications
– performing chest physical therapy and other related treatments
– transporting patients internally and externally
– educating patients and families about respiratory care and disease management
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
• A degree from an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program
– Current New Jersey State Respiratory Care Board License
– Valid BLS certification
– NRP certification within 6 months of starting position
