In this role, the Operations Coordinator provides effective and responsive administrative services to support manufacturing and production operations of engines and compressors in a manufacturing environment. This position supports all departments in the Deer Park Facility and reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Proactively support production by independently handling all assigned administrative duties and interfacing with multiple departments including sales, safety, machining, welding, assembly, and engineering.
Provide hands on support to shop personnel in a fabrication shop environment.
Utilize SAP for job creation, part development, and inventory management.
Liaison with vendors for job quoting and material procurement.
Interface directly with office and shop personnel to maintain production schedules.
Assist with shipping and receiving of production materials.
Drive process engagement and improvement throughout the shop.
Required Skills and Experience
High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
Associate’s Degree from an accredited university or college preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Administration and Support.
Knowledge of general office management and current computer/office communications.
Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
ERP experience required, SAP preferred.
Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds physically to move materials around shop and pick up parts from vendors.
