Overview
The Business Development and Sales Coordinator plays a vital role in driving company growth by supporting both the sales and marketing teams. This position is key to generating new business opportunities, managing proposals, and coordinating efforts across internal teams to execute the company’s growth strategy.
With a focus on lead generation, sales development, and process optimization, this role bridges multiple functions to build a robust sales pipeline and enhance operational efficiency. By aligning strategic initiatives with day-to-day operations, the Business Development and Sales Coordinator will be instrumental in driving long-term growth and success.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Business Development & Lead Generation:
- Proactively identify new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and networking events.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive insights.
- Assist in developing and executing business development strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Establish and build relationships with brokers
Sales Coordination:
- Support the proposal and RFP process, from gathering external inputs to submitting high-quality responses.
- Work effectively with sales, marketing, underwriting, and operations teams to ensure alignment and smooth workflow of RFPs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that proposals are tailored to meet client needs and deadlines are met.
- Help organize internal and external sales meetings, events, and customer presentations.
- Coordinate the development and distribution of marketing and sales materials, including presentations, brochures, and case studies.
- Maintain a library of proposal templates, RFP responses, case studies, and other resources and materials to be used in a proposal.
Sales Operations & Process Improvement:
- Maintain the CRM system to ensure accurate data tracking and reporting.
- Provide regular updates on pipeline progress, sales forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities to streamline sales processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Support senior sales team members by managing schedules, assisting with client follow-ups, and preparing necessary sales documents.
- Assist in handling smaller sales opportunities and client renewals.
Other:
- Attend client and prospect events to represent the company.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and an ability to analyze sales data.
- Proficiency in designing and formatting document and presentations using PowerPoint
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or sales operations.
- Familiarity with the PBM or healthcare industry is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- May require occasional travel.
Shift Details:
Hybrid work arrangement with the ability to work in our Utah office when needed. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during “core” business hours to meet the needs of our business. Occasional travel may be required. Extended hours, weekends and holidays may be required pursuant with industry and client demands.
