Cooperative Home Care is looking for an experienced Scheduler to join our team. The right candidate must have at least 3 years of scheduling experience in general, Home Health scheduling experience specifically is optimal. But necessary training will be provided.
The Scheduling Coordinator will work with our clients and active home health nurses to identify open shifts, availability, and coordinate schedules.

Hours:
Normal business hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday-Friday in office.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience working as a Home Care Staffer or Home Health Scheduler.
- College degree preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills primarily with Outlook and Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrate courteous and cooperative behavior with managers and staff in a positive, professional, business manner
Job Duties:
- Coordinating with the Home Health Team and nurses to schedule visits as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- Ensure vacant shifts are filled and are adequately staffed by making calls and enlisting the help of the operations management team.
- Utilize creative thinking to help scheduling concerns and assist staff with shift swaps.
- Notify nurses and clients of schedule/staff changes.
- Calculate budgeted hours and determine in advance how many employees are needed so the puzzle of the schedule fits together.
- Must have a knowledge of the staffing policies and procedures.
- Report staffing concerns immediately (over or under-staffed).
- Coordinate nurse requests for time off to ensure coverage for open shifts.
