Job Summary:
The Resource Assistant plays a crucial role in Coordinated Care Alliance’s mission to improve healthcare access for individuals with IDD. This role is responsible for gathering and maintaining detailed information about medical and behavioral health providers, focusing on accessibility and specialized accommodations. In addition, the Resource Assistant communicates regularly with healthcare providers to facilitate transfer and sharing of information needed for care coordination. These efforts directly support Care Managers to ensure equitable access to the best possible healthcare for people with IDD.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Contact medical and behavioral health providers/practices to gather information for a service directory database.

Seek out details regarding accessibility and specialized accommodations offered at healthcare providers across New York State.

Represent our agency and its mission to improve access to quality healthcare services for people with IDD.

Collaborate with the Provider Relations team to maintain the service directory, sharing and collecting information as needed.

Perform data entry and clean-up tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the database.

Collate information from various sources, including survey results, other databases, internet searches, and direct information from individual providers.

Assist in ensuring data integrity across a large database.

Participate with project team to upgrade to a new platform that will expand site based and audience specific capabilities, improve user experience, and provide advanced hierarchy organization, among other enhancements.

Communicate with CCO staff, community partners, and/or web developer to solve issues as they arise.

Work with healthcare providers to improve care manager access to member medical records as needed.

Collect information on the best ways to obtain medical records across larger healthcare practices while performing the above duties.

Procure individual member medical documents from providers as requested

Maintains confidentiality.

Performs other duties, as assigned.

Must possess a valid Driver’s License from New York, or a contiguous state (i.e., Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Vermont) OR Must have the ability to take ample public transportation to attend meetings in person in the community and in the office as needed
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly preferred.
- Will consider Certified Medical Assistant with experience in medical settings, data entry, and MS Excel.
- Proficiency and experience working in MS Excel, and knowledge of other database tools.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone, with the ability to request information in a persuasive, friendly, articulate, and professional manner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to represent the agency professionally and align with its mission.
- Experience in data entry and database management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external providers.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems and accessibility accommodations is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage large amounts of data, and meet deadlines.
- • May require use of personal vehicle to attend off-site meetings and trainings or events.
- Absolute sense of integrity and personal commitment to serving people with I/DD and their families.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and ability to work in a team environment.
Salary : $19 - $20
