Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Materials Process Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production process, you will be responsible for utilizing manual and automated equipment to process raw materials into high-quality ceramic powders.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- FOLLOWING ALL ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY (EHS) PROCEDURES AS REQUIRED.
- IDENTIFYING OPPORTUNITIES FOR SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS.
- PERFORMING STARTUPS, SHUTDOWNs AND PRODUCT MIX CHANGES ACROSS STANDARDIZED PRODUCTION PROCESSES WITH MANUAL AND BASIC AUTOMATION COMPONENTS.
You will also be expected to:
- IDENTIFY TECHNICAL PROBLEMS AND IMPLEMENT ROUTINE OR DIRECTED SOLUTIONS.
- FOLLOW DOCUMENTED AND SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES.
- FOLLOW ROUTINE AND REPEATABLE WORK INSTRUCTIONS AND PRODUCT MIX SPECIFICATIONS AND MAY ENCOUNTER SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PREPARATION OF CERAMIC MATERIAL.
- LEARN AND APPLY MANUFACTURING PRINCIPLES AND BEST PRACTICES AS THE METHOD TO MOST EFFECTIVELY COMPLETE THEIR WORK.
- WORK CLOSELY WITH OTHER OPERATORS TO SHARE INFORMATION FOR PRODUCTION CONTINUITY BETWEEN SHIFTS, PROCESS STEPS OR DEPARTMENTS.
- PRESSURE AIR QUALITY by implementing proper ventilation and dust control methods.
- Perform in-process quality testing for assigned process area.
- Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move material to and from locations within the facility.
- Maintain workspace cleanliness and follow appropriate 6S practices.
- Assist in accurately tracking all inventory, supplies, and raw materials.
