What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager - Coos County Office of Homeless Response position at Coos County?
Recently, Coos County Government and the cities of North Bend and Coos Bay joined forces through an Integovernmental Agreement to work together in combating homelessness in Coos County. Andrew Brainard was appointed as the Director of the Office. Under his leadership, and the leadership of a Homeless Response Advisory Board made up of key stakeholders in the community, there are now two positions open in the office: Project Manager and Administrative Coordinator.
These two positions are temporary with an anticipated ending date of May 31, 2024. Selected candidates will be hired on an hourly basis through Cardinal Services, Inc. a temp agency. Project Manager position pays $25.00 per hour. The Administrative Coordinator positions is more of a support role and pays $18.00 per hour. Both positions are full time.
Project Manager: Plan, execute, monitor, and close projects in a way that ensures successful completion of project goals within the specified constraints of time, budget, and scope. The Project Manager is responsible for guiding projects from inception to completion while ensuring that the project meets its objectives and delivers value to the stakeholders. The Project Manager will use the Strategic Plan as a resource to identify potential projects and collaborate with community partners. Requires at least 5 years of project management experience preferably with the public sector or non-profit setting. Valid Driver's License.
Administrative Coordinator: Provide office support functions for other roles within the Coordinated Homeless Response Office, including (but not limited to): Director, Grant Writer, and Project Manager. Tasks could include development of coordinated communications and preparation for public engagements, assistance with tracking and reporting on five year strategic plan, developing and maintaining records, administering public meetings from development and distribution of agenda to transcription of minutes, coordinating community stakeholder meetings, assistance with webpage updates, administrative support for grant applications and reporting and project tracking. Requires at least 4 years of administrative support/office experience. Valid Driver's License.
