Job Title: Canning Operations Specialist
Job Summary: Full-time position for Canning Operations Specialist located in Springfield, Illinois. This position will be responsible for overseeing the canning and packaging of infused beverages.
Salary Range: $20-$25 / hour based on experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Operating intermittent motion filling machine with integrated seamer.
· Operating Auto-Depallitizer and as well as other machinery throughout canning process.
· Aiding in maintaining established quality metrics during manufacturing processes.
· Performing necessary maintenance on all cannery machinery.
· Sustaining a sanitized and clean environment within the cannery at all times while adhering to cGMP practices.
· Participate in cross training opportunities to minimally learn the least-skilled position in the grow, cannery and extraction operations and substitute as business needs dictate in those positions.
Working Environment:
- Uneven surfaces, stand/sit for long periods of time, bending/stooping, or hard surfaces.
- Required to wear PPE.
- Operation of mobile elevated work platforms as well as forklifts.
- Lifting up to 50lbs.
- Working in a cultivation environment, which can include no natural light, varying temperatures, and louder than normal ambient noise.
- Working in a manufacturing environment near machinery and processes, which require specific training and safety protocols.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field OR industry-recognized training or education in a related field.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and have the ability to contribute to production optimization.
- Food handling experience and knowledge preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, depending on the location.
- Occasional required overtime.
- Ability to pass a background check and dependent on receiving a state-issued badge.
