Job Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and finish a wide variety of pastries from scratch.
Follow recipes and ensure consistency in product quality and taste
Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to ensure proper cooking
Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies
Clean and sanitize work area and equipment regularly
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation

Additional Skills and Responsibilities

Previous experience as a pastry cook or in a similar role

Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures

Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently

Proficient in using kitchen tools, such as knives, mixers, and ovens

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Good communication skills to interact with customers and other team members

Preferred Skills

Minimum 2 years experience in cake decorating or pastry arts

Familiarity with catering or restaurant kitchen operations

Confident in cake decorating, petit entremets, French classical

Physical Demands and Work Environment

May be required to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects up to 50 lbs.

Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time.

Working in an environment that may be exposed to hazardous equipment and situations and conditions that produce cuts or minor burns.

Sometimes wear protective and safety attire, such as gloves.

This is an overnight position (8PM-4AM), extremely fast paced environment.
