Copeland Electric Co., LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in safety management within the construction industry and a strong understanding of OSHA regulations. This role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of our workers across various job sites while implementing and maintaining safety programs that meet both company and regulatory standards.
General Areas of Responsibility and Tasks:
· As safety coordinator, you will promote safety policies, risk management and safety assurance while utilizing knowledge of policies for the specified work site.
· Plan, implement, manage and maintain comprehensive environmental safety and health programs on premises or at project site locations.
· Recruit and train workers on how to work safely with the personal protective equipment (PPE) and other equipment provided, as well as how to identify potential hazards.
· Conduct toolbox talks to review the projects’ objectives, evaluate the protection measures in place and identify the resources needed to complete each task safely.
· Communicate basic dos and don’ts at frequent intervals
· Perform routine site inspections. This involves walking the job site as often as possible to assess safety hazards, comply with regulations, enforce procedures and promote safety awareness.
· Continuously communicate with safety director to discuss safety issues and concerns.
· Properly document accidents in the workplace and investigate the circumstances of an illness or injury.
· Make sure employees are fully trained on policies, regulations and procedures and are made aware as policies change or new policies are implemented.
Requirements
· OSHA 30
· A minimum of five years experience in the Construction Industry
· Knowledge of Electrical Construction is preferred.
· Pay based on experience and site location
