What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at Copeland Oaks?
Copeland Oaks, a not-for profit Continuing Care Retirement Community located in Sebring Ohio, is hiring for a part time Lifeguard. The campus of Copeland Oaks proudly serves the 55 and up age groups with independent living, catered living, assisted living, and long term skilled nursing and rehabilitation care.
The Lifeguard plays an important role in the Wellness program offered to our residents and employees. Working in this position, you get the opportunity to interact with residents, who truly enjoy their time in the indoor heated pool, as well as employees and their family members. This position will perform all duties associated with making the swimming pool area and aquatic fitness classes safe and hazard free for all residents, visitors, and employees.

Qualifications or ability to become certified:
- Lifeguard certification
- CPR and AED certification
- First Aide certification
The ideal candidate will have scheduling flexibility for morning and/or afternoon shifts.

Applicants who have disqualifying offenses under Senate Bill 160 may be disqualified from employment. As part of the pre-employment process, Copeland Oaks conducts Criminal Background checks through the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation (BCI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Crandall Medical Center also conducts pre-employment Drug Testing.
