Pay Plan
This opportunity is exempt and on Pay Grade #25. The full Pay Grade Range is shown for growth and development opportunities within the grade. Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity.
Hiring Range: Min-MidMin $105,473 ($50.71)
Mid $129,182 ($62.11)
Max $152,915 ($73.52)

- Bachelor's degree in information security, cybersecurity, information systems management, or similar computer-related major in a public or accredited private academic institution or four years or equivalent of experience.
- 4 years of information security experience with demonstrated expertise in securing personal computers and operating systems, server operating systems, networks, and enterprise architecture.
- 2 years of experience in a position requiring familiarity with regulatory compliance practices in a setting such as, but not limited to operational, financial, quality assurance, or human resources.
- Experience conducting vulnerability audits, penetration testing, security configuration checks, and system configuration scans to meet cybersecurity requirements.
- Familiarity with NIST CSF, 800-53.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated experience with system/application security, risk management, information assurance third-party management, and risk remediation.
- Demonstrated experience performing risk management activities developing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment and Recommendations (RARs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and developing Executive-level briefings.
- Security technology acumen and experience including but not limited to the firewall, intrusion detection, cyber-attack tools, and defenses, encryption, certificate authority, web filtering, anti-malware, anti-phishing, identity, and access management, multi-factor authentication, security incident event management, penetration, and reporting.
- Technical acumen including but not limited to: OSI, IT infrastructure, cloud, application development languages, tools and frameworks, database technologies, web technologies, next-gen mobile, network architecture, enterprise architecture, and directory services.
- Proficiency in writing technical specifications.
- Negotiation and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; in particular, demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally.
The mission of the Enterprise Solutions Department is to provide and maintain all types of enterprise-related products for the governing body of the City of Coppell. These facilities include but are not limited to voice, data, and video systems and the information maintained within those systems. In addition, this department coordinates the overall direction of technology and communications as desires and needs arise from other departments or divisions and Directional Boards, Commissions, or Committees.
