What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Setup and Takedown at Copper Nickel position at Copper Nickel Events?
We are seeking a part-time crew to assist us in setting up event halls to exceed client expectations with tables, chairs, stage, beverage areas, backdrops, presentation materials, and more, and taking down design after every event. We are looking for someone who can work a flexible schedule and is honest, reliable, and punctual. This position requires the successful applicant to complete the certification for operating a scissor lift upon hiring.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up and taking down a variety of events within Copper Nickel
- Lift at least 25 lbs. Set up and move tables, crates, wooden crates, and other types of furniture
- Must be an OSHA-certified, scissor lift driver. (CN will pay for your training & certification if hired)
- Creatively hang pictures, lights, greenery, and place decor.
- Layouts and maps for events will be provided. Communicate with the Sr Event Coordinator to ensure efficiency
- Check the Planning Pod system for additional updates or changes before the event
- Weekly meeting with the Executive Director
- Report any breakdown or repairs needed of furniture, equipment, or lights
- Rearrange or remove crates and other large furniture around/from the building
- Tear down and clean up after the event. Either resetting for the next event or returning to storage
- Ability to set up large and small events in a timely fashion
- Must be able to work late nights after events for a switch out, early in the morning or between events if scheduled

Pay:
- Pay is based on the event that is worked. We have a breakdown as a piece rate for each event that averages out to $20-22.50 an hour approximately. There are events almost every weekend, but we also have events on Sundays, weekdays, mornings, and evenings. You must do both the setup and takedown for said event to be paid the full amount.
