The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Alaska Native culture and lifestyle, as well as excellent clinical skills, leadership abilities, and experience working with diverse populations.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical direction and oversight to APP and CHA providers.
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in peer review programs.
- Collaborate with CQI Manager to design and implement quality initiatives.
- Assist in developing clinical orientation and staff training programs.
- Participate in strategic and annual planning, and provide clinical perspective.
- Collaborate with operational leadership to develop policies and procedures.
- Makes recommendations for medical activities, including plans and projections for staff support and equipment.
- Promote a motivational culture among providers and CRNA staff.
- Complete annual performance reviews for select employees.
- Attend statewide Medical Director's Meetings and other relevant meetings.
