Copper River Native Association is a Federally Qualified Health Center that serves the Copper River Valley region in Alaska. We are searching for a Physician Medical Director to join our team and help carry out our mission to deliver quality healthcare to the Ahtna People.
This position offers a unique opportunity for a physician to work in a diverse and dynamic environment, providing direct patient care and leadership to the clinical team. The successful candidate will have experience in urgent care services and a strong understanding of Alaska Native culture and lifestyle.
The Physician Medical Director reports directly to the CEO and collaborates with the Director of Medical Services to provide oversight of APP and CHA providers. Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct medical care to all age groups in accordance with the State of Alaska Department of Licensing and professional scope of practice.
- Developing personalized treatment plans based on patient needs, medical history, and evidence-based guidelines.
- Coordinating with receiving physicians, hospitals, hospital transfer centers, ambulance, and medevac agencies for patients requiring transfer to a higher level of care.
- Maintaining productivity requirements of the health center with accurate and timely documentation in the patient's EHR.
- Collaborating with other departments and providers at CRNA to ensure patient-driven, coordinated, and comprehensive care.
