Key Responsibilities:
- Reconciliation of key asset and accrual accounts so that they meet GAAP standards.
- Support best practices by assessing business processes, identifying potential risks, and recommending appropriate internal controls.
- Prepare workpapers and provide necessary documentation and support for external audits.
- Act as a resource to other teams, educating and training on accounting compliance requirements to foster adherence to internal controls.
- Work collaboratively across departments, fostering relationships and communicating effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with strong knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards preferred.
- Excel expert, able to write Excel formulas without reference to help. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency with enterprise-level accounting systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to validate accuracy of finished work-product.
- Ability to implement internal controls and perform risk assessments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP system (Finance & Supply Chain).
- Knowledge of internal audit processes.
- Creativity in solving problems and identifying solutions.
