CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for a Summer 2025 Human Resources (HR) Intern at our Arizona Headquarters. This 12-week, paid internship program provides students with the opportunity to gain corporate experience, get a first-hand look at the day-to-day operations of a Super Regional Insurance Company, and prepare students with the experience needed to have a rewarding career at CopperPoint.

The HR department is looking for students seeking meaningful work experience as they tackle complex challenges unique to the insurance industry. This internship role aims to provide an integrative program that allows students to make meaningful contributions to the department and to walk away with a meaningful experience.

This HR internship will provide hands-on talent development experience, which includes but is not limited to: teaching the basics of HR Management, learning more about the Talent Acquisition space, specifically around the recruiting and selection process, and how CopperPoint leverages Learning & Development to help train and upskill our staff. In your role, you will support the HR team by:

  • Assisting with all aspects of full-cycle recruiting and onboarding, including but not limited to: resume reviews, candidate screenings, interview coordination, and new employee orientations.
  • Partnering with the Learning & Development team to support new hires and employee initiatives.
  • Developing relationships with business leaders to better understand their staffing needs.
  • Helping the HR Management team to launch and audit compliance trainings.
  • Supporting the team with new and ongoing projects. Some functions may include recruiting, onboarding, engagement, communications, compliance, or talent development.
  • Providing administrative and/or technical support to the HR team on a variety of functions.
  • Addition/Ad-hoc assistance as needed by the team.

As our ideal candidate, you are:

  • A current college undergraduate who is a resident of Arizona and/or is attending a school in Arizona.
  • Proficient in Microsoft® Office tools and related software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable with data and analyzing sensitive information.
  • Good Interpersonal skills to quickly develop trust, credibility, and respect from all levels of staff.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in the insurance industry post-graduation.

Dates of Internship: May 27, 2025- August 15, 2025 

Salary Range: $20 per hour  

Time Commitment: 30 hours per week 

Benefits: The intern will accrue 0.0692 of Paid Time Off (PTO) per paid hour. The intern will be eligible to participate in CopperPoint’s matching 401(k) plan.
