Position Location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA or our Seaport Boston, MA location with Mondays & Fridays remote.
As a Principal Scientist Data Systems at Ocean Spray, you will oversee the PLM Devex software system, ensuring data integrity, user training, and troubleshooting support. You will collaborate with IT on new releases, manage system security and access, and maintain product technical records. Your role will involve supporting the development and implementation of additional data sets, ensuring efficient information flow, and enhancing product quality and market position. - Oversight and override authority for the PLM Devex system, from user approvals and plant assignments to data integrity and version control
- Maintaining status changes for the approved ingredient and formula specification to push data to SAP
- Until Phase 2 development, posting ingredient and formula reports to SP sites
- Extension of ingredients and formulas to manufacturing locations - Devex and in sync with SAP
- Mass material updates to formulas
- Ingredient and formula obsolesce and resurrection as needed

Owner of the Devex Job Aids documentation:
- Creation and Maintenance of new SP Database
- Management of updates
- Data migration activities as needed
- End user training and support, including maintaining training materials, and supporting the direct training for functional superusers
- Supporting validation activities for system upgrades
- Liaison to TraceOne on-going customer support protocol

Data Governance:
- Oversight and enforcement of naming conventions and adherence to Devex workflows
- Oversight of continued business process definitions as they apply to PLM
- PLM System Administration-OSC control
What We Are Looking For:
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or MS in Food Science or Chemical or Packaging Engineering or related field
- Working knowledge of Product Life Cycle Management, Manufacturing and Specifications
- MS Project, PowerPoint and Excel proficiency
- 7 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical, initiative, data management, accountability & follow through are required
- Collaboration/peer relationship, influence, planning and problem-solving skills
- Process management experience with necessary systems skills, communication and cross functional team collaboration skills
- Individual must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to handle multiple priorities in a timely manner
- Must have willingness to stretch outside of comfort zones and seek constant improvement of techniques
- Supervisory: No direct reports. Required to work collaboratively with cross functional team such as Engineering, Product Development, Packaging Engineering, Regulatory Compliance, Food Safety & Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Legal, Customer Service and Finance.
