CORA is the only agency in San Mateo County with the sole purpose of serving victims/survivors of domestic violence/abuse. We are a multicultural agency committed to serving victims/survivors, regardless of age, ethnicity/race, financial status, language, sexual orientation, immigration status, class, religion, gender, mental or physical ability.
We provide free and confidential emergency, intervention and prevention services, including the county's only emergency shelter and transitional housing for victims/survivors and services in Spanish and English.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented volunteer to assist our Prevention Department in translating program materials into Chinese. This role is ideal for someone passionate about community service and looking to make a direct impact by helping us reach a wider audience.
As a volunteer in this position, you will have the opportunity to contribute to several key prevention programs by ensuring that our materials are accessible to Chinese-speaking families and individuals in our community. This role will involve translating a variety of program content, including educational materials, resources, and promotional materials, ensuring that the messages remain accurate, culturally appropriate, and easy to understand.
Key Programs Supported
To-Do-At-Home Program A family-strengthening program that provides activity-based tools to promote positive communication and healthy relationships for families with children under age 5.
Youth Engagement & Advocacy (YEA!) Program A youth-centered program offering educational and interactive workshops for grades 7-12 on topics such as healthy relationships, consent, boundaries, tech safety, and teen dating violence.
Speak Up Program A CORA initiative designed for businesses in San Mateo County, providing 15-minute trainings on how to recognize red flags of abuse, what to say/not to say, and how to help someone in need.
