In addition, as the Onboarding and Records Coordinator duties will include:
- Coordinating the onboarding process for new hires, rehires, and internal transfers for all divisions in a manner consistent with agency policies and procedures
- Fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, and ensuring a positive onboarding experience for new hires and hiring managers
- Guiding new hires through all pre-employment procedures, compliance activities and other administrative tasks; ensuring timely and efficient movement through all phases of initial onboarding
- Serving as primary point of contact for new hires during onboarding; providing proactive and timely communications with new hires, hiring managers, and other stakeholders
- Maintaining all employment records and assisting with compliance with federal, state, local and funder regulations related to employment records; assisting with internal and funder audits as scheduled; responding to requests for employment records as directed
- Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve onboarding and record-keeping activities; staying current with updates to legal and regulatory requirements related to employment records and onboarding
- Working collaboratively with other members of the talent and culture team including pitching in to assist with tasks, projects and events outside the scope of onboarding and records when appropriate and as directed
- High school diploma or GED required; recent college grads with bachelor’s degree in human resources may be considered without minimum experience
- 1-3 years’ administrative experience in a human resources department, preferably with a non-profit/mission driven organization; candidates with onboarding experience will be given consideration over those without this experience
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain positive, productive working relationships
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
- Ability to effectively manage high volume hiring for new hires across different programs with different pre-employment requirements
- Proficient with Office 365 applications and working knowledge of HR software; UKG experience preferred
