We have an immediate opportunity for a Payroll Manager to join our team. This position is based at our office in Fox Chase and will be fully onsite during initial onboarding and hybrid thereafter.
As the Payroll Manager you will oversee all aspects of payroll processing ensuring timely and accurate processing of wages, benefits, taxes, deductions and reimbursements; complying with all relevant laws and regulations; managing the payroll system (currently UKG); and collaborating with other departments to gather and validate payroll information, resolve payroll discrepancies and provide exceptional service to employees
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Uphold the mission, vision and values of CORA Services which includes valuing all individuals and supporting each individual's potential for growth
- Manage the biweekly payroll process for all employees; provide outstanding customer service to employees in addressing payroll questions and concerns
- Reconcile biweekly payrolls and prepare journal entries for review and approval by accounting staff.
- Maintain accurate employee and payroll records; update employee information as needed; partner with supervisors and / or employees to resolve errors and discrepancies as they arise
- Design, implement and distribute payroll reporting to appropriate stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, government regulations and tax obligations, including submission and reconciliation of 941s to the agency payroll system
- Provide information and support to accounting staff for monthly reconciliation of payroll-related liability accounts
- Manage year end payroll processes including issuing W2s and 1099s
- Work closely with the Controller to identify areas of improvement in the payroll process, to promote efficiency and automation
- Provide information and support to auditors during the annual audit process, including the financial and benefit audits; respond to requests for information by funders during program audits
