Now, for the first time in nearly a century, this historic restaurant and landmark will be open to the public. Located along the picturesque coastline of the Pacific Ocean and Butterfly Beach, it will blend its storied past with a modern approach, featuring Chef Thomas Keller’s reimagined Continental cuisine for today’s contemporary audience.
The Private Events Manager oversees the promotion, contracting, planning, and coordinating of all private events for Coral Casino by Thomas Keller; grows revenue while enhancing guest relations for business retention; ensures guest requirements and specifications are met and that functions run smoothly, efficiently, and profitability in line with Thomas Keller Restaurant Group standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Execution
- Contract and plan a variety of high-profile events, ensuring seamless and memorable experiences.
- Work closely with culinary and service teams to execute events that exceed guest expectations.
- Serve as the face of the venue during events, ensuring flawless execution and guest satisfaction.
- Secure necessary resources, including staffing, rental equipment, and vendor partnerships.
Sales & Business Development
- Collaborate with the Event Director and leadership team to develop and implement a comprehensive event sales strategy.
- Build and maintain a strong guest base, growing business and driving financial success.
- Build relationships within the Montecito community, ensuring events align with local culture and venue standards.
- Maintain up-to-date event sales and marketing collateral, competitive analysis, and pricing structures.
Guest & Client Relations
- Conduct walkthroughs, respond to inquiries promptly, and actively manage leads through the event management platform.
- Document all final arrangements, including menus, wine selections, entertainment, and floral needs.
- Communicate guest needs and requests with the culinary and service teams for seamless coordination.
- Regularly review and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for upcoming events.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Prepare and finalize accurate billing and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Provide sales reports and assist leadership in budget reporting and financial planning.
- Adhere to TKRG Private Dining Standard Operating Procedures to maintain consistency in guest experience.
- Proven experience in high-end event planning, private dining, or luxury hospitality.
- Strong sales acumen and ability to build and grow event business.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with a deep appreciation for community and cultural engagement.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Proficiency in event management platforms and budgeting software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event needs.
