The Director of Software Development is responsible for managing and delivering software development projects. They will work with a team of software developers to ensure projects are completed within a timely manner and within a specified budget. They will also oversee the quality assurance process to ensure that all software meets company standards.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Managing and coordinating the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software and applications.
Appraising and evaluating department and individual performance and making compensation recommendations.
Initiating and fostering business partnerships with current and potential clients, vendors, IT executives, and senior business executives.
Overseeing the development of new software applications and projects from start to finish.
Conducting research and planning for new technologies that could be applied to the company's products or services in the future.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in Computer Science or similar field.
- 5 years managing software development teams preferred.
- Other duties as assigned to support HSA financial initiatives.
- Ability to coach / mentor IT staff members to function as a highly effective team.
