SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing Commercial and Community Solar projects. The Project Manager will provide managerial oversite regarding overall direction, administration, completion, and financial outcome of projects. Oversees, directs and manages project teams including administration, project coordinators, subcontractors and contracted consultants. Responsible for developing project scope, budget and schedules for all projects under management.

The Project Manager is responsible for overall customer communication, project planning, project engineering, quality management, and compliance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures, state and federal laws, and regulations. The Project Manager is additionally responsible for the financial performance and cost control of construction projects.

STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS:

Education/Qualifications:

· B.S. degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Minimum of 5 (five) plus years of construction management experience, preferably related to solar.

Preferred:

  • Industry certification with practice area specialization of construction/general engineering, or mechanical trades, or civil/environmental engineering. Knowledge of Solar PV.
  • NABCEP Training
  • OSHA 30

Requirements/Skills:

  • Responsible for overall scope, schedule, and budgets for construction projects generally in the range of $0.5 million to $15 million in cumulative budget size.
  • Responsible for project planning and delivery.
  • Attention to detail, and ability to complete tasks.
  • Provides overall direction and planning for budgeting, managing expense priorities, scheduling, and project resource allocation.
  • Collaborates with Construction coordinators and preconstruction to support the project.
  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Participates in the long-term strategic planning and project execution plans.
  • Ability to manage and resolve issues with projects and clients.
  • Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Develops, monitors, and reports on operating costs related to the projects. Alerts appropriate senior management personnel of cost and labor over run. Makes recommendations and implements timely solutions to problems related to the same.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Procore, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Outlook, Dropbox and other PC tools.
  • Valid driver’s license. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages subordinate employees and contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

90% office environment. 10% travel to customer locations and job sites.
