Job Summary:
The Solar Construction Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and completion of solar energy projects. This role involves managing construction teams, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, and overseeing the quality and safety of installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
o Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
o Oversee construction activities and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
o Ensure project milestones are met and address any delays or issues promptly.
* Team Leadership:
o installers, and laborers. Supervise and lead construction teams, including electricians,
o Conduct regular team meetings and provide guidance and support to staff.
o Manage subcontractors and ensure they meet project specifications and standards.
* Quality and Safety Assurance:

o Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure the integrity of installations.
- Regulatory Compliance:
o Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and permitting requirements.
o Obtain and manage necessary permits and licenses for project execution.
o Stay updated on changes in building codes and industry standards.
* Stakeholder Communication:
o Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, project managers, and construction teams.
o Provide regular updates on project progress, including any changes to scope, schedule, or budget.
o Address client concerns and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
* Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of project activities, including progress reports, change orders, and incident reports.
o Prepare and submit project documentation and reports to management and stakeholders.
o Review and approve invoices and payments related to construction activities.
Qualifications:
- Education:
o Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications
(e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus.
* Experience:
o 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on solar or renewable energy projects preferred.
o Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects and leading teams.
* Skills:
o Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, construction practices, and safety standards.
o Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee complex projects.
