Key Responsibilities:

  • Truck Movement Coordination:
  • Maneuver trucks and other heavy vehicles into designated loading and unloading positions using a smaller vehicle or specialized equipment.
  • Ensure trucks are positioned safely and efficiently to optimize loading/unloading times and minimize operational delays.
  • Provide guidance to drivers to ensure smooth and safe operations in tight spaces.
  • Driver & Operations Scheduling:
  • Coordinate and manage truck driver schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
  • Communicate regularly with drivers to ensure they have the necessary instructions, route information, and required documentation.
  • Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in project demands, weather conditions, or other unforeseen factors.
  • Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections:
  • Oversee and assist with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure trucks are in safe operating condition.
  • Ensure that drivers are performing necessary checks for mechanical, safety, and operational compliance.
  • Report and address any vehicle issues to maintenance teams promptly.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure all trucks and operations comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct safety briefings with drivers and other site personnel regarding equipment operation, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
  • Monitor ongoing site conditions to identify and mitigate any potential hazards related to truck operations.
  • Record Keeping & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of truck inspections, maintenance logs, and driver schedules.
  • Report any incidents or accidents involving trucks to the appropriate supervisory personnel.
  • Track and report key performance metrics such as fuel consumption, vehicle usage, and compliance adherence.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Communicate with customers on a daily basis or as needed to ensure long-term continued customer service support.
  • Depending on the company’s needs, may be required to operate trucks themselves in certain situations, including assisting with transportation of equipment and materials.
  • Coordinate with other site teams to ensure logistical needs are met and there are no interruptions to oilfield service operations.
  • Assist with loading/unloading activities when necessary, ensuring that safety and efficiency are prioritized.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in trucking, logistics, or similar operations, ideally within an oilfield or industrial environment.
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred, depending on company requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of truck safety, maintenance, and operational protocols.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with drivers, supervisors, and other site personnel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adjust to dynamic, fast-paced work environments.
  • Prior experience in heavy equipment or specialized vehicle operation is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and environments, including extreme heat or cold, dust, and noise.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move heavy objects, as required by specific tasks on site.
  • Comfortable working long hours, including nights and weekends if necessary, to ensure operational continuity.

Working Conditions:

  • Work on active oilfield or service site environments, including exposure to heavy equipment and industrial operations.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Potential for irregular work hours depending on project needs, with on-call availability in some cases.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
