Position Overview

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Origination and Structuring, the Senior Director, Origination and Structuring will be responsible for leading and managing interface with the offtakes from first point of contact to project operations for Cordelio's pipeline of wind, solar and storage projects.

Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of the relationship with offtakes with a focus on investor-owned utilities, public utilities, brokers and advisors, and C&I and industrial customers for Cordelio projects.
Support all aspects of contract negotiations with offtakes for Cordelio joint venture projects.
Coordinate with subject matter experts across departments during all phases of the project lifecycle.
Oversee competitive and bilateral bidding processes.
Lead offtake contract negotiations and coordinate internal subject matter expert and businessperson review.
Create internal reporting related to offtake procurement efforts and trends.
Conduct detailed competitive analysis in focus regions.
Understand corporate and utility customer decision-making regarding energy needs, including sustainability targets and resiliency goals.
Support as needed on contract compliance during the transition to asset management.

Experience and Education

Seven years experience in power marketing, energy trading, and / or PPA procurement and negotiations.

Relationships with investor-owned utilities and public utilities in the Pacific Northwest and / or MISO.

Bachelor's degree is required; equivalent experience may be considered.

Technical Skills

Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.

Excellent resource, planning, and time management skills.

Familiarity with typical computer software (Office 365 Environment : Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint).

Experience in the Pacific Northwest and / or MISO.

Ability to work within a team and associated people skills.

Presentation skills and ability to communicate complex issues to customers and leadership in lay-person language and concepts.

Strong understanding of legal documents.

Travel Requirements

Up to 60% primarily within the U.S.; includes travel primarily to customer locations as well as to company facilities and conferences.

Lawfully authorized to work in the United States and travel in the United States and Canada.

Location

This role is expected to be remotely located but may have the option to relocate to an existing or future Cordelio office.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation range for this position is USD$160,000-$250,000 per year; exact compensation will be determined by Cordelio and depends upon experience and other factors.
