Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller to join our finance team. This position plays a critical role in managing and improving financial processes, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and providing key insights to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, a proven ability to manage complex reconciliations, and expertise in financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform and oversee complex bank and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Maintain and improve reconciliation processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Prepare, review, and post journal entries in compliance with accounting principles.

Ensure proper documentation and approvals for all entries.

Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.

Manage revenue recognition processes in accordance with applicable standards.

Reconcile revenue accounts and ensure accurate reporting of revenue streams.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve revenue accounting workflows.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Provide insights and analysis to management for informed decision-making.

Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard assets and enhance the reliability of financial reporting.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

5 years of progressive accounting experience, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.

Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:

Experience in a leadership role within accounting or finance.

Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

Prior experience in financial audits and/or public accounting is a plus.
