Key Responsibilities :
Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end / year-end close processes.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budget reports, and cash flow forecasts for real estate projects and investments.
Monitor and reconcile property-level accounting records, lease administration, and revenue recognition.
Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with property managers, project managers, and executives to provide financial insights and decision-making support.
Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
Manage tax filings, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements for real estate entities.
Provide guidance and leadership to the accounting team, including performance management and professional development.
Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for real estate operations.
Ensure accurate tracking of capital expenditures and project cost accounting.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to increase operational efficiency.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the real estate industry.
Strong understanding of real estate accounting, including property management, development, and investment accounting.
Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
