We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Billing Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Costpoint and expertise in Cost-Plus and Time & Material (T&M) billing. This role is essential to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant invoicing for our government and commercial contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit accurate invoices in accordance with Cost-Plus, T&M, and other contract types.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, FAR/DFARS regulations, and company policies.
• Reconcile project billing data, including labor, materials, subcontractor costs, and other direct costs.
• Maintain detailed records of invoices, adjustments, and payment statuses.
• Collaborate with project managers, contracts, and accounting teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Generate and analyze billing reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes related to billing and revenue recognition.
• Ensure timely collections by communicating with clients and resolving any issues related to invoicing.
Qualifications:
• Required: Experience with Deltek Costpoint billing system.
• Preferred: Knowledge of government contracting and familiarity with FAR/DFARS.
• Proven experience with Cost-Plus and T&M billing in a government contracting environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 2 years of experience in billing, preferably in a government contracting or professional services environment.
