Core Responsibilities:
- Own/lead the Financial Planning and Analysis ("FP&A") - budgeting, treasury, accounting, tax, legal, and risk management.
- Prepare and review financial and operational KPIs
- Prepare and manage third-party lender covenant reporting
- Prepare and present board level materials during monthly operating calls and quarterly board meetings
- Interface with private equity deal team
- Help drive all strategic finance/FP&A with the ability to communicate analytically at a high level as well as in the field.
- The successful candidate will be a “roll-up-your-sleeves executive” who can pivot between stakeholders.
- Familiarity with supply chain components and will work with procurement to review opportunities across the supply chain, to maximize efficient cost structure, while managing risk
- The CFO should want to get into the field to start understanding systems and processes at the restaurant level and should understand how revenues are maximized, and costs are incurred
- Understand and support the franchisee customer experience, ensuring each stage is positive
- Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
- Proactively partner with business leaders to set and deliver on KPIs and performance objectives to drive scaling of operations and profitability
- Manage the annual audit process
- Support FDD annual filing
- Works closely with operations, marketing and development in efficient execution of the budget
Experience & Qualifications:
- CPA is required (active preferred)
- Big-four or regional/national public accounting experience strongly preferred
- 8 years of experience required
- Franchising experience is preferred
- Excellent financial reporting, operational accounting and audit support required
- FP&A knowledge is preferred
- Outstanding leadership and presentation skills
- Possess multi-functional business team capabilities to achieve strong results
- Be ready to lead by example in a fun, high energy, and collaborative work culture (established start-up-like)
- Versatile, flexible, adaptable personality - willing to "roll-up-the-sleeves"
- Experience with BI tools (PowerBI or Tableau) is helpful and preferred
- Experience with Intacct or NetSuite is helpful and preferred
- Preference for NY/NJ/PA residents
Compensation Range & Structure:
- Competitive base salary ($225k /-) Bonus Incentive Equity Compensation included
