Title: Property Accountant
Compensation: 80K – 100K
Location: College Park, MD (Hybrid 2 days per week in office)
Key Responsibilities/Essential Duties of Position:
· Oversee the general ledger and ensure a timely monthly close.
· Responsible for generating the monthly financial statements and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
· Support the Accounting Manager & Controller with the annual audits; financial statement, and Lease Accounting (ASC 842)
· Support the preparation of the annual property tax filings.
· Participate in various business processes and technology integration initiatives.
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
· Direct property accounting experience preferred. GL accounting experience required.
· Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
· Maintain high personal integrity and strong work ethic.
· Experience with Yardi, MRI, or Sage Intacct preferred but not required.
