About the Role
The Global Professional Services Category Manager is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing spending related to Finance (global audit, accounting, commercial insurance, treasury, and banking), Legal (outside counsel and intellectual property), and HR (recruiting, agency, onboarding, and benefits). This role plays a critical part in optimizing procurement strategies, enhancing supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiencies across all professional services categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy for various professional services aligning with the company's overall business objectives and cost-saving targets.
- Conduct detailed analyses of current spending patterns, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiencies in all areas across Finance, Legal, and HR.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure optimal service levels and cost-effectiveness.
- Audit and mitigate risks associated with procurement decisions in financial services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and compliance, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with organizational goals.
- Stay informed about market trends and best practices in financial services procurement to continuously improve strategies and processes.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of procurement strategies and supplier performance.
- Mentor and train team members on procurement best practices, tools, and technologies related to financial services.
