Overview
Cordoba Corporation is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support rail projects in our transportation sector. The Procurement Specialist works as part of a team responsible for development procurement documents, managing procurement processes, and supporting contract management for capital contracts. The Procurement Specialist also supports the development of template documents for new contracting and procurement methods, as needed. The Procurement Specialist works both independently and collaboratively with a team to develop and support the delivery of procurements and contracts.
Responsibilities
- Develops capital and professional services procurement and contract documents, including but not limited to document drafting, coordination with relevant functional areas, and obtaining approvals.
- Supports the management of procurement processes for capital procurements and professional services procurements, including but not limited to drafting Board materials, supporting industry meetings, preparing addenda, responding to RFIs, and preparing proposer communications.
- Supports the development of contract and procurement template documents.
- May support contract management activities, including but not limited to preparing contract documentation, contractor communications, and claims/change orders processing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Juris Doctor or equivalent experience preferred
- 2-5 years relevant experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Effective communication and collaboration skills required
- Strong analytical, writing, and research skills required
Preferred:
- Knowledge of state and federal contracting statutes, regulations, and practices
- Experience with at least one of the following: contract drafting, procurement process management, direct purchase agreements, and/or claims and change orders management.
Salary Range: $125,000 to $145,000 per year
Location: Sacramento, CA
Work Environment: Mostly remote, with some days in the office as needed by the client
Travel: May be occasionally required
