Typical schedule: This is a part-time onsite position with a typical schedule of Monday through Thursday, up to seven hours a day. Work is to be performed between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., not to exceed 28 hours a week.

Summary Description
Established in 1958, Cordova Recreation & Park District (CRPD) is an independent special district governed by an elected Board of Directors.
- Conducts data entry to prepare reports, records, and reconciliation of payroll records using Microsoft Excel.
- Assists with the review and reconciliation of attendance records and payroll.
- Prepares and maintains official personnel files.
- Sorts and distributes payroll checks.
- Assists with new hire paperwork and tracking completion of forms.
- Assists with the recruitment process including scheduling and preparing materials and meeting room for interviews.
- Use a computer to create and update a variety of documents, spreadsheets, and forms.
- Assist internal and external customers by responding to requests for information.
- Perform a variety of recordkeeping duties including sorting, filing, and archiving in compliance with records retention program.
- Operate various office machines including computer, printer, scanner, copier, and telephone.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of:
- Professional office etiquette with excellent grammar, spelling, and writing skills.
- Customer service techniques, practices, and principles.
- Methods and techniques of proper phone etiquette.
- Office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, email, and databases.
- Principles and procedures of record keeping and filing.
- Basic mathematical principles.
- Maintain confidentiality, including securing, maintaining, purging, and shredding electronic and paper files and documents in accordance with District policies.
- Interpret and apply District policies and procedures.
- Perform general clerical work, including maintaining files and compiling information for reports.
- Type and enter data into the computer at a speed necessary for successful job performance.
- Respond tactfully, clearly, concisely, and appropriately to inquiries related to area of responsibility.
- Operate office equipment including computers and supporting word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications.
- Maintain confidentiality, including securing, maintaining, purging, and shredding electronic and paper files and documents in accordance with District policies.
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Maintain attention to detail by prioritizing work and coordinating several activities simultaneously despite interruptions.
- Maintain integrity of work by taking responsibility and accountability for completion of work and internal customer interactions and maintaining punctuality and attendance at work.

Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade and two years of clerical experience. Payroll and Human Resources experience is desirable.
