Title: Vice President of IT Infrastructure – (Subcontract at a Core BTS Client)

Position Overview:
The Vice President of IT Infrastructure is a pivotal leadership role responsible for managing the organization's technical infrastructure, IT service delivery, and support operations. This role ensures the seamless functionality of networks and infrastructure, robust cybersecurity measures, disaster recovery, and business continuity, all while aligning IT services with the organization's goals. By leading cross-functional teams and managing projects, the VP drives technological innovation, supports end-user needs, and fosters continuous improvement. Strong managerial skills, effective communication, and a proactive mindset are essential for enabling secure and efficient operations and supporting long-term strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and support network, server, and cybersecurity infrastructure, including cloud-based technologies, to meet organizational requirements.
  • Conduct assessments to identify areas for improvement, optimize efficiency, and reduce costs while ensuring system availability and performance.
  • Research and implement new technologies, trends, and solutions by collaborating with vendors, peers, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct R&D and develop comprehensive test cases for emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee service desk operations, ensuring end-user and business unit needs are adequately met and supported.
  • Define and implement service delivery frameworks, processes, and resources to support technology adoption, and effectiveness, and enhance end-user knowledge.
  • Ensure the management and prioritization of support operations, meeting timely resolution of incidents and problems, minimizing business impact.
  • Evaluate staff performance, set objectives, and provide coaching and professional development.
  • Address performance issues and ensure team adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls and processes for enterprise technology.
  • Work with partners and stakeholders to assess risks and identify appropriate mitigation options.
  • Oversee security monitoring tools and services, ensuring a safe and sound environment.
  • Conduct incident response activities as required, in coordination with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Design, implement, and maintain disaster recovery capabilities that meet the expectations and requirements of a financial organization.
  • Periodically assess and update recovery processes, procedures, and platforms to meet changes in technology and the environment.
  • Periodically test and document recovery systems and processes to ensure effectiveness.
  • Manage audit testing, disaster recovery testing, and other compliance initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of compliance activities, maintaining records to demonstrate adherence to applicable laws and policies.


Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and service delivery roles, including hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level network and server infrastructure. This includes expertise in LAN and WAN networks, cloud-based technologies, cybersecurity, high-availability solutions, and IT service management processes.
  • A college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
  • Strong background in managing and optimizing complex technical infrastructure environments, with a proven ability to evaluate existing systems, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance performance, security, and efficiency.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing large-scale IT projects, including serving as a project manager for departmental initiatives. Proficient in project management methodologies and best practices to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to stay current on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices. Proven ability to collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to research, evaluate, and implement innovative solutions that drive continuous improvement and organizational growth.
  • Strong leadership abilities to manage and develop high-performing teams. Skilled in evaluating performance, providing coaching, and fostering professional growth while ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Solid understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory standards, with experience in managing audit testing, business continuity, and disaster recovery initiatives. Proven ability to document, report, and maintain compliance across technical operations.
