Shipyard Dry Dock Operations Manager Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Shipyard Dry Dock Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our floating dry docks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Analyze tidal, slack water, wind, and weather conditions prior to docking/undocking and berthing evolutions.
- Develop and implement docking plans, considering relevant drawings, vessel surveys, or customer-furnished docking plans.
- Provide support to tasks and jobs unrelated to the dry dock as requested by management.
- Maintain a courteous demeanor when interacting with employees and customers.
- Ensure strict adherence to all Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
- 7 years' experience operating floating dry docking facilities.
- Certification as a Dock Master for floating Dry-Docks from NAVSEA or DM consulting.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Marine engineering, or equivalent years of experience.
- Proficiency in Autocad, GHS, and Microsoft software products.
Salary Range:$110,000 - $150,000 per year
