Accounting Specialist Job Summary

The Accounting Specialist will manage critical bookkeeping functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This role encompasses P&L management, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, cash management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining organized financial records, supporting monthly closings, and contributing to the company's financial health.

Accounting Specialist Responsibilities

• Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) accounts and prepare bank reconciliations.
• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including billings and collections.
• Maintain accurate cash management and records.
• Organize and maintain historical financial records through systematic filing.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Management Reporting & Support
• Prepare financial reports and provide insights to management when required.
• Oversee the 12-week cash forecast and provide regular updates.
• Manage the petty cash fund efficiently.
• Issue invoices with appropriate payment terms.
• Ensure timely collection and reconciliation of receivables.
• Process and manage vendor invoices.
• Ensure timely payments with proper approvals.
  
  

Accounting Specialist Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of P&L, GL, AP/AR processes, and bank reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
