Field Service Technician Responsibilities
- Perform on-site service and maintenance to maximize system uptime.
- Diagnose and repair faulted inverters, ensuring proper functionality.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical system issues.
- Conduct annual periodic maintenance inspections and document findings.
- Assist in developing and optimizing maintenance programs.
- Support start-up and commissioning for new PV inverter installations:
- Inspect wiring, connections, and overall mechanical conditions.
- Power up systems, configure required parameters, and ensure proper operation.
- Monitor system performance and efficiency levels.
- Maintain detailed service records and provide accurate service reports.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Customer-focused with a professional and positive attitude.
- Frequent travel required (daily/monthly trips to customer sites).
- Knowledge of power electronics and control systems.
- 2-year technical degree OR 2-5 years of experience working with PV inverters.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solar industry service experience preferred (but not required).
