Piping Design Group Manager Job Summary
The Piping Design Group Manager is responsible for leading the design and layout of piping systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. This position requires strong leadership skills and expertise in 2D and 3D design software. Some travel may be required.
Piping Design Group Manager Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of piping designers to develop and execute piping system designs.
- Oversee the production of piping layouts, system arrangements, and fabrication drawings in 2D and 3D environments.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry codes and standards such as ANSI, ASME, and PFI.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and other engineering disciplines to resolve design issues and ensure project requirements are met.
- Review and approve system designs, calculations, and specifications to identify potential construction challenges.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, including training and professional development.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
