Production Scheduler Job Summary
The Production Scheduler is responsible for the creation and maintenance of all program schedules, including the Integrated Master Schedule of all activities. This role coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials across departments to meet production timelines. Key responsibilities include developing schedules, tracking production progress, coordinating with various stakeholders, and generating reports and metrics to support operational efficiency.
Production Scheduler Responsibilities
- Calculate required labor and material amounts using production rate schedules.
- Compile and prepare documentation related to production sequences and durations.
- Track and report on production rates, material usage, and project progress.
- Coordinate production and shipping activities by working closely with personnel, vendors, and customers.
- Assess completeness, accuracy, and adherence to specifications by examining documents, materials, and production processes.
- Develop work packages that outline production, labor, material, and supply requirements.
- Analyze and adjust production schedules to accommodate design changes, material shortages, backlogs, and other disruptions.
- Collaborate with management, sales, production, and engineering teams to ensure smooth workflow and schedule alignment.
