The Planner / Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling discipline-specific and / or general maintenance production and modification activities while accounting for safety / health / environmental factors, reliability, and cost. This position will report to the
Project Manager or Construction Manager.
Requirements
- Read and understand engineering and process drawings, P&IDs, etc.
- Develop detailed construction and startup schedules and integrate with the Master Project schedule in order to ensure construction timing is aligned with engineering, procurement, and startup.
- Integrate multiple contractors' schedules with the Master Project Schedule.
- Analyze construction contractors' weekly construction scheduling plans and monthly schedule updates for comparison to report progress / staffing plans and alignment of cost forecasts.
- Perform verification sampling on installed quantities to support reported progress.
- Resource load schedule, validate durations, and provide construction workforce density information.
- Provide weekly progress and status updates to project team and provide input to Project Controls Lead for monthly reports.
- Perform critical path analyses, monthly reporting, and associated deliverables.
- Monthly Reporting and interface with contractors and project management.
- High School Diploma or GED, and relevant technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance scheduler or coordinator in a natural gas plant, a petrochemical plant, or refinery is required.
- Computer knowledge including Maximo, Primavera or Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
