Service Engineer Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance, overhauls, repairs, and upgrades on diesel engines, turbochargers, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues on-site and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime for customers.
- Carry out engine inspections, test runs, and commissioning activities to ensure proper equipment performance.
- Compile detailed service reports and documentation after each site visit, highlighting all findings and actions taken.
- Provide technical guidance and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
- Adhere to safety and environmental regulations while working on-site and ensure that all job procedures meet company and industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) preferred
- 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within marine, power generation, or heavy machinery industries
- Ability to work in an engine room where other engines are running, and dealing with high temperatures, humidity, vibrations, and loud noises
