Qualifications
General Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to join our warehouse team. The Logistics Clerk will support the order releasing processes, manage data input, and oversee product data related to logistics operations. This role involves working closely with the logistics team to ensure efficient load planning, carrier scheduling, and use of Transportation Management Systems (TMS). The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of logistics processes, and experience with clerical support in a warehouse environment.
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
Order Processing & Releasing:
- Assist in the timely release of customer orders and coordinate shipping schedules with the warehouse team.
- Verify and input data for order accuracy, including product specifications and shipping instructions.
Data Management & Entry:
- Accurately input and maintain product data related to inventory and logistics operations.
- Ensure all information in the Transportation Management System (TMS) is up-to-date and accurate.
Load Planning & Carrier Scheduling:
- Support load planning by coordinating with carriers to schedule shipments based on volume and delivery requirements.
- Assist in preparing shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOL) and shipping labels.
Transportation Management System (TMS):
- Utilize the TMS to track shipments, monitor delivery times, and update records accordingly.
- Work with the logistics team to troubleshoot any issues with shipments or carrier performance.
Clerical & Administrative Support:
- Provide general administrative support, including filing, maintaining logs, and preparing reports.
- Communicate with internal departments and external logistics partners to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Inventory & Shipment Monitoring:
- Track incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure that warehouse inventory levels align with orders.
- Monitor product availability and communicate any stock issues or delays to relevant departments.
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by department supervisor
Specific Job Requirements
- Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
- Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
- Normally follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
- Be able to work multiple stations.
- Responsible for his/her own quality of workmanship.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Self-motivated reliable team player. Must be dependable, on time.
- English speaking preferred (speak and writing/reading)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to learn new skills and behaviors.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work mandatory overtime.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3 -5 years’ experience in a fast paced, high-volume warehouse/shipping/receiving operation preferred. At least 1 year experience in a logistics role preferred.
- Completion of High School or equivalent
- Must have experience, knowledge and/or exposure to computers, MSWord, Excel, and Outlook. Oracle experience (focused on Warehouse responsibilities) a must.
- Experience with a WMS such as Advanced Pro preferred
- Knowledge of safety in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment

- Due to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the warehouse, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing an uneven walking surface
- The warehouse environment can be dusty and noisy
- Doors near the department are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes
- Floors around work area may become slippery during wet weather conditions
- May have to handle merchandise and work with tools with sharp edges
- Passing forklifts emit gas fumes
- Tools, supplies, and related merchandise may contain hazardous materials
