Accounting / Data Entry Specialist
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Controller, the Accounting / Data Entry Specialist assists in monthly job billings, job setup, and other accounting related responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages MCI Track software to prepare billings.
- Prepares billings by allocating time worked to appropriate jobs.
- Tracks change orders through projects.
- Assists in setting up new jobs in accounting software
- Assists with preparing monthly work in process schedules and financial backup schedules
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient Excel skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in accounting preferred, or equivalent work experience
- At least two years of related experience required.
- Experience with MCI Track strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
